Yoni is a Sanskrit word and means: “vulva, womb, source, space, fountain, fire-pit of incubation, and natures gateway of all births.” It connects discourses around masculinity and femininity and is about becoming oneself in a time that breaks down traditional boundaries.. The Yoni supports the rediscovering of inner guidance and self-love.
The Yoni Collection is a series of unique, handmade ceramic vulvas. The first pieces were created in a hideaway in Saxony, Germany, in March 2019. The Yonis are the foundation of an ongoing meditation on birth, creativity and power. For the artist they are a source of strength and beauty on the path of meeting oneself. The vulva symbol honours the Hindu trinity of creation, maintenance and destruction.
The Yoni comes as jewellery, charms and sculptures. It is devoid of gender codes.
